With the recent news that the new tenant (also known as Superfresh) had done serious damage to the building, causing it to be condemned, I figured it would be a good idea to revisit the Plainsboro Superfresh! I had somehow overlooked these photos when I put together the original post last year.

This location, a former Caldor, opened in the late 90's as a replacement store for the old location across the center, now Ace Hardware.

Although this location is so odd (considering it retained most of Caldor's original layout), there's still plenty of 90's Foodmarket aspects!

...including the signature checkerboard floor. Note that there's also no drop-ceiling in this location.

Eight O Clock Coffee Cafe in the mid-left corner. This location is a little bit larger than standard 90's models, at around 65,000 square feet.

The second aisle in from the left must have been hard to get through!

Dairy lined the left side of the building.

Lights appear to be on in the backrooms... Dan took these photos as the new Key Food Superfresh / Food Emporium was starting to take shape.

Here you can see the Superfresh 'platescar' I'd call it, and the "FOOD & PHARMACY" scar.
