Ah yes, 1986. The purchase of Kohl's Food Stores just went through, the Superfresh brand is doing well, and A&P would later purchase Farmer Jack in following months. It's a great time to be alive in the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company.
But one thing that A&P went cheap on was advertising. They used one format for all three of their grocery banners that year... all with (almost) the same footage and song. If you remember this jingle, you were probably watching it along with millions of other people... some even living in the midwest!
