It's Always Savings Time At Farmer Jack!
Farmer Jack was a division of A&P from 1987 to 2007, prior to the acquisition, Farmer Jack was owned independently from 1924, when founded. They mainly had stores in the Metropolitan Detroit area, but also had some stores more south in Virginia. They were commonly known as the "Supermarket of Michigan". When Farmer Jack was bought by A&P, they transitioned all of the A&P Banners in Michigan to Farmer Jack. Throughout the years of being owned by A&P, Farmer Jack expanded with new stores, using the same A&P models with the early 90's decor (which will be covered in a later post), and the new pink/red-brick superstore look in the early 2000's. Most of the stores kept their original decor at the stores, while a few were updated with a Food Basics decor.
